How do I restore my music from Google Play?

If you’ve ever lost your music collection, you know the panic that sets in. How will you ever replace all those songs? If you have a Google Play Music account, though, you can easily restore your music from Google Play.

The first thing you’ll need to do is make sure you have a backup of your music. If you don’t have a backup, you can create one by going to My Music > Menu > Settings > Backup collection. If you have a backup, you can skip this step.

Once you have a backup, you can restore your music from Google Play by going to My Music > Menu > Settings > Manage account > Restore music.

You’ll be asked to choose a backup to restore from. Select the backup you want to restore and click Restore.

Your music will be restored to your Google Play Music account and will be available on all of your devices.

Where did my Google Play Music go?

If you’re wondering where your Google Play Music went, don’t worry – it’s still there! Google Play Music is now a part of Google Play Movies and TV.

To access your music, open the Google Play Movies and TV app and tap the three lines in the top left corner. Then, select "Music." You can now listen to your music, create and share playlists, and more.

Is my Google Play Music gone?

If you don’t see your music library, it’s likely because you’ve been using the Google Music Manager to upload your music. The Music Manager can only upload music that’s stored on your computer, so your Google Music library won’t show up if all of your music is stored on your phone or tablet.

To view your Google Music library on your computer, open the Music Manager and click on "My Library."
